ACS was not established because someone wanted to sell a filter product, but because someone realized just how much trouble such a small piece of material can cause when it does not fit. In many facilities, systems only run as well as their filters allow. Yet hardly anyone wants to deal with filter classes, air flow rates, or pressure drop curves. And honestly: you can not blame anyone for that. A Filter is not a topic that is your first thought in the morning. Filters are a side issue. One that’s quiet until it gets loud: when the system shuts down. When the authorities complain. When maintenance suddenly becomes a priority and no one really knows which filter goes where.
